This collaborative design research project identified key problems and potential solutions to the flow and function of the Lions Gate Hospital Foyer space.

Supported by IBI Group Architects and in partership with Vancouver Coastal Health, I joined a student team from Emily Carr University to develop and implement unique, user-centered research methods in order to understand stakeholders vision for the hospital foyer. A variety of methods allowed us to triangulate qualitative and quantitative data and articulate a series of recommendations for the future architectural redesign of the space.

The full report, titled "Design Research: Methods & Findings for Health Care Environments" can be reviewed at the Emily Carr University Library or the Vancouver Public Library. My praxis paper on the project was published in the 2012 issue of Current, Emily Carr's design research magazine, and can be read online here︎︎︎.
